Position Overview

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide early intervention services to children from birth to age 3 in the child’s natural environment. You’ll assess communication needs, support development of individualized treatment plans, and work collaboratively with families and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and provide direct early intervention services for children ages 0–3 in home and community settings.
  • In collaboration with family and team, develop and implement individualized family service plans based on child and family outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Document services in compliance with state and program requirements.
  • Attend scheduled IFSP meetings and participate in teaming meetings to provide and receive support from interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide caregiver coaching as it relates to family priorities and IFSP outcomes.

  • Experience with early intervention or pediatrics preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and travel to service locations.
  • Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer).
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to travel to various locations on a daily basis.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:

  • •Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • •Current CT state license and ASHA CCCs (or CFY supervision available).
